What's a strong password?

Consider using a pass phrase for your password. For example, the phrase "TUowls are number one" could become TUowlsr#1.  When creating a pass phrase, leave out any spaces, dashes, or other special characters other than $ and #.

Don’t Take the Phishing Bait!

Universities throughout the county are targets for email phishing scams. Temple is no exception. The increasingly sophisticated phishing messages include fraudulent links seeking to obtain your personal information and passwords. They come from senders who claim to be Temple Security, the Help Desk, Blackboard, PayPal, well known banks and credit card companies.

If you receive a suspicious email, don’t hesitate to report it to abuse@temple.edu immediately. If the email is confirmed to be a phishing scam, Computer Services will block the message so other Temple community members don’t receive it.
